FORMAL

is, for many of our sisters, the most anticipated event of each semester. Pepperdine’s campus offers a majestic background for pre-formal photo shoots at the beach, Hero’s Garden or Alumni Field. Alpha Phi formals have, in the past, been located at venues ranging from country clubs to a historic carousel building on the Santa Monica Pier to, most recently, a beautiful yacht sailing around Marina Del Rey. It is hard to decide which part of formal is more fun: getting to spend this special evening with a special date, or a fabulous night celebrating another semester with our beautiful sisters.

MIXERS

are our sisters’ time to mix and mingle with Pepperdine’s other Greek organizations, usually our fraternity brothers. Because our University is a dry campus, we have the opportunity to be very creative in planning our events. In the past, some of our mixers have included food fights, bonfires at the beach, mini-golf, laser tag and a Halloween carnival.

NEW MEMBER PROGRAM

is an exceptionally important time for our newest members, and an opportunity for the entire sisterhood to meet and bond with our new “sisters”. Alpha Phi’s new member program is the best of the best. Our programming educates our new members about the history of our sisterhood and what it means to be an Alpha Phi, while giving endless opportunities for our newest members to bond amongst themselves and with the rest of the chapter. A team of Alpha Phi sisters lead our new members through fun weekly meetings. As a chapter we work hard to instill the values of sisterhood, leadership, and scholarship in our new members while making sure that we have a good time. As a new member of Alpha Phi, you will begin college with fond memories, a foundation for leadership, and find some of the best friends you've ever had. Beyond the endless opportunities for involvement and success, Alpha Phi offers a home within our sisterhood.
